22 weeks (1 day)- Spaghetti squash!!!

This week Brax is a WHOLE pound!!  That is so crazy, amazing and SO awesome!!! He is nearly 8 inches from top of his head to his cute lil bum as well!! He is getting so big!!! But he still has SO far to go in the next 4 months!! This week Brax is developing his sense of touch. He is starting to touch and grab things, and he has quite a strong grip!! He will often grip the umbilical cord for something to hold on to! Can’t wait for him to hold on to mine, and his daddy’s fingers! His sense of sight is also much more developed this week! He can now perceive light, and dark (even though its mostly dark in my belly!!).. And if a flashlight was placed on my belly he would be able to see this perfect!! This week Brax’s eyebrows, and eyelashes are even formed, and more hair is popping up on top of his cute head!!! Both Dev and I had TONS of hair when we were born! So it’ll be really interesting to see if Brax has lots as well!!! If the old wives tale about heartburn is correct, he will be pretty bald at this point! LOL!!

This past weekend we made some BIG moves in Braxton’s nursery!!! Dev and Crae spent a few hours getting the beadboard hung, and completed, and I must say, it looks AMAZING!!!! I sure am  lucky to have such a handy husband! J This weekend my parents also brought over their gift to Brax, his new crib!! Dev and I are obsessed with it!!! He is gonna LOVE his sleepy time (we hope.. lol).. This coming weekend we are either gonna purchase a glider, or his changing table, and also his mattress!! I absolutely LOVE that I can go in to his nursery, and picture it all complete, and him sleeping in there! He is really going to love his home, and especially his adorable little room!! J

On a side note…. Dev and I FINALLY got our changing table/dresser from Walmart on Tuesday.. Dev went and picked it up as soon as he was off, and called me to give me advance warning.. The box was TRASHED.. He had a feeling the inside was just as bad… Well, about 30 minutes later he called to let me know, that the changing table was trashed.. Each corner was indented, broke, chipped, scratched, etc.. Oh, AND the best part.. It was particle board… We paid $180 for particle board?! NO WAY!!! So we returned this POS to Walmart, and put the money in the bank till we find a new, ALL WOOD changing table for baby boy! We THINK (fingers crossed) we found the one we are gonna be buying.. Also, my parents had initially ordered our crib/glider set from Walmart.. The internet says it was 100% SOLID OAK.. Psh.. No.. Once again, the box was trashed! My mom said it looked like a knife was taken to the box!! So she had them open it right there in the store, and yeah, it was all dinged, scratched, and trashed.. So they got their money back, and headed to baby depot, and got us an the BEST crib!! We are so excited!!! So just a piece of advice.. Do NOT buy furniture at Walmart… Ugh.. HORRIBLE experience!!! So glad that’s over! LOL!! J

How far along? 22 weeks (1 day)!! This Friday will be exactly 4 months from our due date!!! SOOOO exciting!!!
Due Date: For now, June 17!! We will see how this moves in the next few months!
Total weight gain/loss: Still comin in at about 13 pounds!
Maternity clothes: Yep! There’s no hidin this belly!! LOL!! Its weird, but some days I feel like I am bigger than others! But he still always shows! J
Sleep: Still sleepin like a champ!!!
Best moment this week: Dev and Crae finishing the beadboard in Braxton’s room! AND getting his AMAZING crib from my awesome parents!! J We set it all up Saturday, and I can’t stop going in his room just to look around! I told Dev Brax is absolutely going to LOVE his house, and his room! J
Movement: Lots of movement!!! And the little stinker has discovered how cozy he can be shoved up in my left ribs… LOL.. He makes it really uncomfortable for mommy, but it is well worth it! J
Food cravings: Still anything spicy, umm Dr Pepper (even though this is NAUGHTY, and I won’t give in very often),  and slushees! LOL! I had 2 yesterday cuz I couldn’t stop drinking the first one! LOL!!
Food aversions: Chicken (boiled, or grilled in particular), alfredo sauce, soup (except bean and bacon), onion and garlic!
Gender: Baby BOY!! J
Labor Signs: NONE!
Belly Button in or out? Oh boy, the bottom half is out, but the top half is still in! LOL! It looks SO weird!!! Dev makes fun of it all the time! Hahaha..
What I miss: Sleeping on my belly, AND back… Tanning, and normal caffeine intake.. LOL.
What I am looking forward to: Our doctor appointment next Tuesday!! And working more in Braxton’s room this weekend!!
Milestones: Feeling lil magoo move all the time!!

Symptons:
  • Fatigue.. YES STILL!! LOL!
  • Food aversions.. Seems like this is starting to get better! I had a couple hamburgers last week! LOL!
  • Increased appetite.. I am ALWAYS hungry these days!
  • Ugh… Pregnancy migraines…
  • Some back/hip/rib aches! Especially at the end of the day.
  • Stretch marks… No joke, my left tata looks like the right one has beat the CRAP out of it.. Ugh.. Its awful.. The right one has no battle wounds either!
  • Oh, and this one is new… Strained Ligament.. What?! Yeah, last Wednesday at the gym, while on the treadmill I thought I was gonna roll over and die! I was having the WORST pains!! I called and spoke to the oncall doctor, and its just a strained ligament.. Apparently even walking on a treadmill can have this effect! LOL!
  • Weak bladder, with more frequent pee.. Its getting to the point BIG laugh attacks, or sneezes can be scary! LOL!!
  • Charlie horses!! These are mostly in my feet! Not in my legs yet! LUCKILY!!
  • Sciatic, and round ligament pain!!

Goin out for a Valentines date with my handsome hubby! <3

The awesome beadboard!!! PS- Don't mind the dingy blinds.. We need to take these down and clean them!

SO CUTE!!! :)

Brax's AMAZING crib!!! :) YAY!!!

21 weeks (1 day)- BANANA!!

WOW!!!! This week Brax is as big a banana!! I can’t believe our little boy is getting SO big!!! J I love it! He is coming in at about 7 inches in length head to bum, and about 11 ounces in weight! SO BIG!! This week Brax is swallowing amniotic fluid, practicing sucking, swallowing and digesting for when he is actually here!  Something I think is really awesome this week, is that the amniotic fluid changes flavor with everything I eat! So it changes all day! I think I am starting to pick up on certain things babe likes, cuz as soon as I eat he will start movin ALL over!! J He is definitely a fan of spicy foods, ice cream, and soda (even though its RARE I drink any).  In between all the moves I feel baby boy making, he is also sleeping about 12-14 hours a day! He’s like his mama already! He LOVES his sleep!! LOL!! J

This past weekend Dev and I went out and bought a couple more outfits for Brax, and his stroller/carseat! I am in LOVE with it!! It’s so cute! I can’t wait to take him for walks in his stroller! We were also supposed to get our dresser/changing table on Friday, but unfortunately, this hasn’t arrived yet.. Ugh.. Dang walmart… The thing has been ALL over the US. It started in New York, went to Ohio, then arrived here in Utah.. WELL, it then left Utah, and traveled to Tennesee, Georgia, then arrived in Florida for pickup (WTH??), then left Florida, and went back to Georgia… They are claiming it will be HERE to Utah (again) on Wednesday, and it had better be!!! LOL.. We also got the lovely GREEN done in Braxton’s room! I told Dev it looks so jungley!! LOL!!  I LOVE it!! Its just an empty room, with paint done for now but I keep going in and looking around.. I can’t wait till our baby boy is here, and in his room!! My awesome parents ordered our crib/glider this past weekend, and we SHOULD have it this Friday, and on Saturday morning Crae, (Devin’s dad) is coming over to help get the beadboard applied! Hopefully over the weekend we will have majority of his room complete, except for decorations! I am getting so excited to have our little baby boy here!! We love him so much already! We can’t wait till he is actually here!! J

How far along? 21 weeks (1 day)!! I keep saying that I feel we have been in an uphill battle till this point, and now we are going downhill FAST!! It seems like you fight, and push to get to 20 weeks, you count EVERY week how far you’ve come, and now you count how many weeks you have left!! Its funny too cuz peoples questions match up with that logic.. People used to ask “Oh how far along are you?!” And now people are asking “Oh when are you due?? Or how much longer do you have?!”.. Its SO exciting!
Due Date: Originally our due date was June 22, when I went to the ER in November they moved my due date up to June 17, and now  my Dr said we are measuring at June 16! He said neither of those are big enough jumps to officially move the due date yet, as baby might just be BIG! LOL.. So we will see as we get further along.. Hubs and I decided to stick with June 17 (even though my mama instincts are telling me a little earlier than that)! J
Total weight gain/loss: Hubs and I STILL need to get a dang scale! LOL!! At our last appt it was 12 pounds!!
Maternity clothes: YEP!! And I LOVE them! I am seriously SO comfy!! And according to my mom, my maternity clothes make me look even more pregnant! LOL! We went this weekend and got me a few more items!
Sleep: Seriously when I sleep right now I feel like I’m in a coma.. I feel bad, cuz Dev gets up each time Tank needs to go outside to potty (which is still like once a night since he’s only 7 months). But I don’t hear a thing!! I am seriously dead to the world! So I am sleeping wonderfully! LOL!
Best moment this week: Going and buying Braxton’s stroller/carseat combo! WOOHOO!! Its so super cute! I can’t wait to see it all put together!!
Movement: Still TONS of movement!! Its not super consistent yet, and seems to be more active when I eat/drink certain things.. But when he moves, he moves LOTS!! I think he’s a little mini ninja in there kickin, and choppin all over! LOL!!
Food cravings: ANYTHING spicy.. Especially flammin hot cheetos! LOL! I can’t get enough I swear!  Ooh and a hotdog! I would LOVE a good BBQ hotdog! I warned Dev the rest of the summer we will be eating hotdogs like mad!!
Food aversions: Meat (more particular chicken), alfredo sauce, garlic, onion, and soup!! No changes!!
Gender: Baby BOY!! J
Labor Signs: NONE!
Belly Button in or out? Innie still! But I am guessing within 1-2 weeks itll be a full blown outtie! LOL!
What I miss: Tanning and sleeping on my belly!!
What I am looking forward to: Getting Brax’s dresser/changing table Wednesday (hopefully, since it was supposed to be here FRIDAY L), and getting his crib/glider this weekend!! Can’t wait to see his room all painted, and furniture set up! YAY!
Milestones: Feeling lil magoo move all the time!!

Symptons:
  • Fatigue.. YES STILL!! LOL!
  • Food aversions.. Seems like this is starting to get better! I had a couple hamburgers last week! LOL!
  • Increased appetite.. I am ALWAYS hungry these days! LOL.
  • Weak bladder, with more frequent pee.. I think little magoo is on my bladder majority of the day.. Haha.. I use the bathroom, and have to go again within a half hour..
  • Charlie horses!! Boo!!! Haven’t had a real bad one YET, but I’ve had a few little ones in my legs, and feet!
  • Sciatic, and round ligament pain!! This is kickin my butt so far today! L
  • My cute hubs dressed in his Cardinals gear for the superbowl! I kept teasing him that he was in denial.. LOL!

Half way there!!! 20 weeks (1 day)- Cantaloupe!!

Holy cow! A cantaloupe?! That seems SO big!! LOL! This week Brax is weighing in at about 10 ounces, and is 6 ½ inches long from the top of his little head, to his cute bum!! This week is kinda a slow week in development for Brax as TONS of his milestones have already hit!! The biggest thing to happen this week is his testicles are beginning their descent! Man, having a little baby boy is gonna take some adjusting! LOL!! His testicles will still be located in his abdomen, till they make their big debut in a few more weeks!

It is so amazing, crazy, exciting to think we are already half way through this pregnancy, and in just 20 more short weeks baby boy will be here!! Me n Dev are both SO dang excited! We cannot wait till he is here, and in our arms! J That’s gonna be the BEST feeling in the entire world!  We already love our baby boy SOOOOOOOO much!!!

How far along? 20 weeks (1 day). OFFICIALLY half way there!! WOOHOO!!
Due Date: Originally our due date was June 22, when I went to the ER in November they moved my due date up to June 17, and last week my Dr said we are measuring at June 16! He said neither of those are big enough jumps to officially move the due date yet, as baby might just be BIG! LOL.. So we will see as we get further along.. Hubs and I decided to stick with June 17! J
Total weight gain/loss: Well I sure was wrong guessing 6-8 pounds! LOL! I’ve gained 12 so far! Not bad though! My Dr says I’m right on track! J
Maternity clothes? Yep! Went out on Friday night and bought some aahhh-mazing maternity leggings, and a few shirts.. My lovely mama then went on Saturday and bought me some maternity jeans, and a couple shirts.. I can wear a lot of my normal shirts still, but at this point I’m WAY more comfy in maternity pants! J
Sleep: I can still sleep like a champ! LOL.. Wake up 1-2 times a night to pee, but other than that I’m basically dead to the world! LOL!
Best moment this week: LOTS this past week!!! The first best moment was last Tuesday when we got to see baby boy again, watch him move all over, and hear that he is still 100% a boy! LOL!! Next best moment was Saturday night, we went to dinner, and got ice cream with some friends and Brax was moving SO much!! He is just like his mama! He LOVES ice cream!! J Then last night at my parents everyone was able to feel him moving all around!! I LOVE that I am starting to feel him move all the time! Its so much fun!
Movement: TONS!!!! Not real strong kicks, or hits yet, but tons of rolls and movement!
Food cravings: Umm nothing new so far this week!!
Food aversions: Meat, alfredo sauce, garlic, onion, and soup!! No changes!!
    Gender: Baby BOY!! J
Labor Signs: NONE! (Fingers crossed we stay that way for 5  more months)!!
Belly Button in or out? Innie still!
What I miss: Ummm this week I am missing TANNING, and caffeine! LOL!
What I am looking forward to: Finishing all the paint/bead board in Braxtons nursery, and starting to set up furniture this weekend!
Milestones: Feeling lil magoo move all the time!! YAY!

    Symptons:
    • Some fatigue still… I am pretty sure this is gonna stick around for the next 20 years or so! LOL!
    • Food aversions still…
    • Increased appetite.. I am ALWAYS hungry these days! LOL.
    • Ugh… Pregnancy migraines…
    • Some back/hip/rib aches! Especially at the end of the day.
    • Stretch marks… Still just the 3!!
    • Gaining weight… There’s really no way around this one! So I just gotta welcome it with open arms! ;) LOL!
(Other than aches and pains I really do feel wonderful!!)

    19 week appointment! :)

Yesterday we had our FIRST official ultrasound, and our monthly check up! It was a GREAT day!!! We started off with our ultrasound, and Brax would NOT hold still! Haha. He was movin, and swimmin all over the place!! Little stinker kept his head, and face towards my back, so we couldn't get very many shots of his cute face, but the tech did keep laughing saying he is ALL boy, and really proud of that fact! LOL!! He sure wasn't shy!! The tech looked over his brain stem, leg/arm growth, and his top lip and was able to almost 100% rule out spina bifida, down syndrome, and cleft lip so that was all good news (we are waiting on the blood test results for all birth defect testing)! She said he is progressing perfectly, but he is a BIG boy!! I swear looking at him in my belly he had NO room to move! He was so squished! I think my belly is gonna end up growing straight out at this point to give him room! LOL! From there we went to see my doctor and get a check up. He looked over me and my weight gain (which at this point is about 10 pounds, I wasn't thrilled, but he was.. lol) and said I look really great, and right on track! He then looked over all the ultrasound results, and asked if I was incorrect about the date of my last period.. Ummm no?? Why??? He started laughing, and said well, He is BIG!! LOL!! They initially gave us a due date of June 22, while in the ER they moved it up to June 17, and yesterday moved it again to June 16! My Dr said it isn't enough of a leap to OFFICIALLY move his date up, especially since he could just be a big boy! They will watch that, and determine once it gets a little bit closer!! He also informed me that my placenta has attached low, and on my back side. This is both good, and bad news! Good news cuz my placenta is FULLY attached now (phew!!), but bad at the same time because if it doesn't move up on its own to the correct spot I will have to have a C-Section delivery which I DO NOT want.. So heres to hoping and praying it moves on its own!! Dev and I decided it won't be ideal, BUT we will do whatever we have to to make sure Brax enters this world safely! :) Here's a couple pictures of Brax yesterday!!!

    Brax was saluting!! LOL!!

Here is a picture of his LONG leg!! He was face down so you can also see his CUTE little bum!! I LOVE this picture!!! LOL!!

I sure do LOVE my baby boy already!! I fall more and more in love with him each time I get to see him!! So does his Daddy!! We both CAN NOT wait to have him here!! 4 1/2 more months to go baby!!

    Monday, January 23, 2012

    19 weeks (1 day)- Mango!!

YAY!! Finally a CUTE fruit! LOL! I can’t believe in 6 more days we are exactly half way through!! We have already done SO much, but still have so much to do.. We are working like crazy in Braxton’s nursery so we can have that done early on, and just enjoy the last couple months of my pregnancy before he arrives! We should have it finished (minus the furniture) this weekend! I can’t wait!! This week Brax is about half a pound (SO BIG J), and about 6 inches long from crown to bum! I can’t wait for our appointment tomorrow to see just how tall, and big he really is!! Based off our last ultrasound, our buddy has LONG legs!! Can’t wait to see how much he has already changed, and if he is still tall!! This week, Braxton’s arms and legs are in proportion, and his neurons are now connected between the brain and muscles. His cartilage throughout his body is turning to bone, making him stronger and stronger every day! This week Brax is also covered in something called vernix caseosa (vernix is the Latin word for varnish; caseosa is cheese), sounds really weird, and gross, but this is helping protect his skin while he is still in my belly! Without this, he would come out looking extremely wrinkly like he just took a 9 month bath.. LOL.. It should start to dissolve and disapear the last few weeks before he is born.

YAY for all the developments Brax is making this week! And changes to my belly!! I swear last week I woke up one day and BAM!! I looked pregnant.. LOL.. Dev absolutely LOVES it! He has me show my tummy to everyone all the time.. Haha. Such a proud daddy and hubby!!! We are SO excited for our appointment tomorrow!! I will post more pictures, and updates Wednesday!

How far along? 19 weeks (and 1 day).
Due Date: June 17, 2012 (we’ll see if that changes tomorrow)
Total weight gain/loss: Gonna guess about 6-8 pounds! Me n hubs need to buy a scale! LOL!
Maternity clothes? Not yet!! Still just using the belly band! J
Sleep: I’m pretty much back on track with sleep!! I wake up every 3-4 hours to pee, but then go right back to sleep within 5 minutes!
Best moment this week: Ordering Braxton’s dresser/changing table, and cleaning/organizing his room and carpet so we can move things in once they get delivered! YAY!
Movement: Little “gas bubble” type feelings.. Nothing super constant yet.. Hopefully soon!! I can’t wait to feel my little magoo move all the time!!
Food cravings: So far still just the same stuff!!! Spicy ANYTHING, fruit, sour candy, oreo’s (that’s the only chocolate that doesn’t give me indigestion lol), mac n cheese! Oh, and I’ve been craving banana shakes BAD!!
Food aversions: Meat, alfredo sauce, garlic, onion, and soup!! No changes!!
    Gender: BOY!! J
Labor Signs: NONE! (Fingers crossed we stay that way for 5  more months)!!
Belly Button in or out? Innie still! I think within the next couple months it will be an outie.. LOL.
What I miss: Some days (like last Friday) caffeine!! I know I can still have like 200 MG’s a day, but I’m choosing not to.. I don’t think its fair to that little guy bein all locked up, and jacked up on caffeine! LOL!
What I am looking forward to: Getting to see our little buddy tomorrow!! That’s the BEST!! J
Milestones: Feeling more and more energized.. Oh, and starting a gym today.. Hubs is SO dang excited.. LOL.. Me?? I’d rather sleep! ;)

    Symptons:
    • Some fatigue still… I am pretty sure this is gonna stick around for the next 20 years or so! LOL!
    • Food aversions still…
    • Increased appetite.. I am ALWAYS hungry these days! LOL.
    • Ugh… Pregnancy migraines…
    • Some back aches.. Yesterday after Walmart, and grocery shopping my back was DONE! I had to rest and get my second wind before working in Brax’s room!
    • Stretch marks… The LONE stretch mark has made 2 new friends.. LOL.. YUCK!! Fortunately for me, they are not seen.. They are really well hidden.. I’m the only one that’s noticed!
    • Gaining weight… There’s really no way around this one! So I just gotta welcome it with open arms! ;) LOL!
    • Weak bladder, with more frequent pee.. I think little magoo is on my bladder majority of the day.. Haha.. I use the bathroom, and have to go again within a half hour..

Silly Tankers with my sister D! This is his good morning, smile face! LOL!

    This past week! :)

This past week we have (of course, what else is new?? lol..) been SUPER busy!!! Over the last weekend we cleared out Braxton's room, and began painting! The WHOLE house when we initially moved in look like the pictures below.. HORRIBLE.. Dull, dingy white paint all over, and looked SO dirty (luckily besides Brax's room, and mine n Devs master bath the whole house is now painted).. So we painted his floor boards, door frames, door, closets, etc bright white.. SO much better! We switched out his hinges, and door knob too since they were brass.. The WHOLE house had brass hinges, knobs, lighting fixtures, etc when we first moved in.. Now, we are down to ONLY our master bath! YAY!! I'll be sure to post updated pictures once his nursery is all painted! :)

YES, that is me in all my hobo looking glory.. LOL..

Last night we also started Tank in training classes! Me n Dev were both SO excited to take him, and see how he did.. He did WONDERFUL!! He is such a smart dog!! He just needs someone to push him a little bit, and he will be perfect! We have been a little nervous about bringing Brax home with Tank since he is SO huge, and still such a puppy.. But after seeing him in training last night, we realized over the next 5 months he is going to grow, learn and change so much! He is going to be the BEST big brother to Brax! We can't wait to see them playing together! Here's a couple pics of us waiting for his training class to start... Have I mentioned I LOVE my boys?!?! And cannot wait to add a third??? ;)

So excited to get out and start school! LOL..

    Love his big ol' nose!!

This is my absolute FAVORITE picture EVER!!! It doesn't get better than these 2 boys! Can't wait for Brax to be in the pictures with them!! :)
