27 weeks (1 day)- Head of Cauliflower!

Hellllllllllllllllllllo third trimester!!!! 2/3 of the way done! YAHOO!!!! I can’t believe today we are down to exactly 90 days, and we’re starting the third trimester!! We are in the home stretch!! That is SO exciting!!! I feel like time is only going faster right now, and I don’t see it slowing down any time soon (except for the last month, which I hear DRAGS.. LOL).   This weekend we finished up peanuts nursery, all except the book ends we are making and the glider we are receiving as a shower gift.. J We absolutely LOVE it!!! We spend so much time in there just looking around, and picturing our wee one in his room! J This is such an exciting time for me n Dev, and we are going to really enjoy these last 3 months (especially now that we can check nursery off our “to-do” list). After June, our lives will never be the same! J Everything is going to change, and for the better! We absolutely CAN NOT wait!!! J

This week Brax is about 2.5 pounds, and 16 inches from HEAD to TOE! Our lil boy is getting SO big!! This week Brax will recognize mine n Devin’s voices (even though muffled, he still hears them every day and has grown to learn them)! We KNOW this is true!!! Last Wednesday was the absolute BEST day of my entire pregnancy so far! Dev and I were laying on the couch watching the Jazz game, and peanut started movin ALL around.. He was doing little acrobats.. LOL.. I told Dev to feel my belly (he has been WAITING for what he calls BIG movements, as Brax’s have been little with my uterus positioning till now), well he grabbed on and Brax went absolutely CRAZY, I swear you could feel every movement he made!!! Dev leaned in towards my belly and started telling Brax all about the Jazz (SO cute.. LOL), and we watched as Brax moved and shifted all over my tummy! This was the FIRST time we have been able to see his movements through my belly! We were SO excited!! We just sat there and watched as our little boy made his presence known! It was the most exciting thing EVER!!! Since then Brax’s movements have been MUCH more prevalent, and you can still see him movin each night (he wakes up every night between 8-9 and does his nightly ninja routine.. LOL). This week, its said that Brax’s lungs are almost completely mature! And MOST babies born this early on have a really good survival rate! With that being said, Brax is staying in place for 12 more weeks!!! LOL.

How far along? 27 weeks (1 day), Third trimester baby!!

Due Date: Still June 17! We’ll see if that changes tomorrow!

Total weight gain/loss: Not too sure?! I’ll find out tomorrow.. LOL. 

Maternity clothes: Yep! And I LOVE how comfy I am!!! Seriously, leggings are the next best thing to jammies, so the fact I can wear them to work is AWESOME! LOL..

Sleep: Aye aye aye… Last night was NOT a good night.. I couldn’t get comfortable for the life of me.. And once I thought I found a good position, 2 minutes later I was completely uncomfortable, and on the hunt for a new position.. It was a rough night to say the least.. I told Dev I HOPE this isn’t the start of being uncomfortable, cuz its gonna be a long 3 months if so.. Then I got in to work, and first thing I read on What to expect when you’re expecting, is SO LONG to the days of being comfortable, and HELLO being uncomfortable.. Boooo… LOL.. Good thing this lil babe is SO worth it!

Best moment this week: ABSOLUTELY, without a doubt seeing baby boy move Wednesday, and react so strongly to his daddy!!! J Dev always said Brax was gonna be a mommys boy, I think he proved that ALL WRONG Wednesday, he already adores his daddy! J

Movement: SO SO SO SO very much!!!

Food cravings: Strawberries, Raspberries, water, wheat thins (lol) and still slurpees!

Food aversions: Still Alfredo sauce, and chicken… ICK!!

Gender: Baby BOY!! J

Labor Signs: NONE!

Belly Button in or out? Still about 50/50!! Really weird looking! LOL!

What I miss: Being comfortable FOR SURE.. Not having rib/back pain.. Being able to sleep on my belly.. Being able to bend over to pick something up, put on socks, or even just touch my toes… LOL..

What I am looking forward to: Our doctor appointment tomorrow! We get another ultrasound and we CAN NOT wait to see our boy!

Wedding ring on/off: ON!!

Mood: Really excited!!! I had a couple days last week where the hormones were a little high, and I cried.. A LOT.. LOL. But this week I am really excited, and happy!!

Milestones: Hitting the third trimester mark!! YAHOOOOOO!!!!!

26 weeks (1 day)- Hot house cucumber!

This past week, we got the nursery ALMOST completely finished!! All we are missing at this point is a lamp, our glider (which we are getting for a shower gift), a laundry hamper, and the monkey vinyl we ordered about 2 weeks ago, then a couple little decorating things we wanna add throughout.. We absolutely LOVE this room, and find ourselves going in there just to look around. J We can’t wait to bring Brax home to his own room! Even though he won’t be sleeping in there for a while, we are sure he will still love it! LOL.. At this point we are feeling really good about where we are.. We feel REALLY prepared for this little peanut to make his appearance! We just want him to stay right where he’s at and finish growing big and strong for the next 97 days! J

This week Brax is weighing in at a full 2 pounds, and is 9+ inches from the top of his head, to his little bum! J Brax will start to open his eyes this week as well!! I told Dev I am SO excited to see if we can tell if his eyes are open at our ultrasound next week! J I’m sure they will be closed, or we won’t be able to tell yet, but hey, I can dream! J Brax’s eyes still don’t have much pigmentation, so it’s too early to start guessing what color eyes he will have. Even when he is born, his eyes may not be the permanent shade. They might change up till he is 6 months old.. Since both me, and his daddy have green eyes, we think it’s a safe bet Brax will too! J Can’t wait to see his adorable face! This week, Brax’s brain wave activity is kicking in, meaning, he can not only hear noises now, but he can also respond! I’ve noticed this to be true! I will sing in the mornings in the car on my way to work, and he will start movin all around! J Its so cute!

Next week we have another ultrasound, and my glucose test.. Here’s to hoping we get good news from BOTH! J Our fingers are definitely crossed my placenta has started moving up! Hopefully this week goes by really fast!! J

YAY for another week!! Another week closer to meeting Brax, another week closer to spring, AND summer! J

Due Date: Still June 17! We’ll see if that changes at our next appointment!

Total weight gain/loss: Umm about 16-17??

Maternity clothes: Yep!!! I still wear lots of non maternity shirts as long as they are LONG!!! The bottom of my belly likes to peek if not! LOL! ALL maternity pants! J Can’t wait to wear the non maternity skirts, and dresses I have!! Hopefully this week!! WOO!! Helllllo Spring fever! LOL!

Sleep: Umm this weekend was an interesting one.. LOL.. I kept waking up through the night feeling super energized.. I’d just lay there till I fell back to sleep. Usually about 10-15 minutes or so.. Not too bad, and other than that, still sleeping really great!

Best moment this week: Getting down in the DOUBLE DIGITS… Holy cow! 97 more days?!?! That’s gonna be here SO soon!!!

Movement: TONS!! Love feelin my little boy move around! He wakes up every single night without fail at 9 and starts movin like crazy!!

Food cravings: Umm Strawberries are making a HUGE appearance this week.. I swear I can’t get enough… Still spicey foods, and slushees too!

Food aversions: Alfredo sauce, and chicken!! Getting much better, I can actually tolerate garlic and onions in moderation! LOL.

Gender: Baby BOY!!

Belly Button in or out? Still about 50/50!! LOL!!

What I miss: Umm for sure being able to go tanning! BLAH! I feel SO dang pastey… LOL.. I’m really looking forward to getting some time outside!

What I am looking forward to: Hitting the 80’s marker in my countdown… LOL.. And our appointment next Tuesday! Seeing our baby boy is the absolute BEST!

Mood: Really happy!! Getting more excited as each day passes!  

Milestones: Oh definitely getting down in the double digits!! I NEVER thought this would come! LOL.. I remember when we hit double digits with the wedding countdown.. Time literally FLEW!!! I told Dev its crunch time!!

25 weeks (1 day)- Rutabaga!!

NO IDEA what a rutabaga is! LOL! But it seems big!! So we will go with that! Haha. This past week has been a MILLION times better!! J No more sickness for this mama! I am back to feeling awesome!! My belly has also moved up higher, and has really POPPED!!! Dev thinks it is so adorable, and people have started to greet the belly before me! LOL!! I love it! J This weekend was a BIG one for us!!! Saturday we went and registered for our lil bambino at Target, and Babies R Us! This was TONS of fun!!! Not sure who had more fun, me or Dev! LOL! He is the cutest, best husband and soon to be daddy anyone could ask for!! I absolutely love how involved he has been through this entire process! He was getting so excited over all the cute things we would register for! J He is THE BEST!! We registered for some basics, and lots of fun stuff!! Babies R Us has kinda screwed up our registry by adding baby GIRL clothes we definitely didn’t register for.. LOL.. I’ve been trying since Saturday night to get them removed, and haven’t been able to cuz my password is incorrect, and they can’t send me a new one.. They should get those removed today once I call! HOPEFULLY!! We also bought the paint, and papers to get Braxton’s name blocks completed!! And we ordered an adorable monkey and vine to hang on his wall!! We can’t wait to get this stuff and get it hung up!! His room is quickly becoming our favorite in the house! J

This week Brax is at about 9 inches from top of his head to his cute bum, and is about 1 ½ pounds!! He is getting SO big!!! J Brax’s skin is becoming more and more developed this week, and is actually turning more pink!! This is because small blood vessels are forming under the skin, and filling with blood! Later this week. Blood vessels will also develop in his lungs, bringing them one step closer to full maturity! YAY!! This week, Braxton’s nostrils also open up! They have been plugged up till this point.. This is allowing Brax to practice breaths!! Since there is no air in there, Brax is really only breathing amniotic fluid, but hey, practice makes perfect!!! J

We sure do love our baby boy!!! And we get more and more excited each day!! We can’t believe we are only 104 days away, 15 short weeks from meeting our baby boy!!! He is already the BEST gift we have ever received, and he will only bring more love and happiness in our lives once he arrives!!! J YAY to another week!

Sleep: The other day we were making our bed, and Dev got to my side and said “WOW, your sheets are TRASHED!! Have you not been sleeping very well?!” LOL.. I didn’t really think about it TOO much till he said that, but I am getting to the point where I don’t stay comfy in one position too long.. I miss sleeping on my belly SO much!!! And can’t lay flat on my back, cuz there’s too much pressure! So its either my right, or left side.. And that doesn’t last too long either cuz my hips will cramp up.. So there’s lots of tossing and turning in the night! LOL! Besides that, still sleeping really well!!

Best moment this week: Getting SO much done in the nursery!! It looks so stinkin cute!! We love it!!! Some family have come by to check out what we’ve done so far! I can’t wait to finish Braxton’s name blocks this week, get the monkey and vine vinyl in the mail, and get everything finished!!! J We still have about 3 months, but this mama can’t wait!!! J 

Movement: SOOOOOO very much!!! I love it!!! There’s nothing better! J

Food cravings: Still Mexican food, and anything spicey.. Cheeseburgers are making a BIG comeback.. LOL.. LOVE slushees and popcycles too!! Even if it’s snowing! LOL!

Food aversions: Chicken (boiled, or grilled in particular), alfredo sauce, soup (except bean and bacon), onion and garlic! Still the same…

Gender: Baby BOY!! J

Labor Signs: NONE!

Belly Button in or out? Still about 50/50!! LOL!!

What I miss: Umm not having pain in my ribs, and lower back!! And being able to sleep on my belly!!

What I am looking forward to: Working more in the nursery, and our next ultrasound appointment on March 20! J 

Stretch marks: Yup!! Unfortunately!! They are limiting their presence to the “upstairs” region though!! LOL!

Wedding ring on/off: ON!!

Mood: HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY!!! Very excited as well! J

Milestones: Feeling Brax move all the time, and ALMOST completing the nursery!!!! We have so much done, and so much purchased for him already I feel really good and really prepared!

24 weeks (1 day)- Ear of Corn!! :)

Well safe to say this past week has been a real doozy!!!! Last Tuesday I thought we were battling the flu in our house.. Well that passed, and Thursday I was back to being 100% normal… Friday I felt pretty good too, until about 2.. I had to run back to the bathroom, holding my mouth shut here at work and BARELY made it to a stall before I completely lost it… Ugh, really?? The flu is back?? Nope… Apparently I have been battling a really bad bladder infection.. L MISERABLE… I put 2 and 2 together Saturday while we were out and about running errands.. I called and spoke to the oncall doctor at my OB who confirmed it is a bladder infection, and she called me in a prescription.. She told me if I’m not feeling better today, or tomorrow I need to call in and have my urine tested to see what else could be going on… Yay… I’m still not feeling so hot today… On top of the infection, the medication I was prescribed has some gnarly side effects.. LOL.. Drowsiness (cuz that’s exactly what I need is to be MORE tired), nausea, headaches, etc… Today is day 2 of the antibiotics, so here’s to hoping tomorrow is a better day! J

This week lil Brax is about 8 ½ inches from the top of his cute head, to his little bum! And he weighs about 1 ½ pounds!! JJ He is steadily gaining weight at a rate of about 6 ounces per week!! Much of that weight is his cute baby fat!! But some also goes to his growing organs, bones and muscle! This week his ears are sharper and sharper.. He can hear very loud sounds, ranging anywhere from his big brother Tank barking, a jackhammer, and even his mommy and daddy talking! J He will come out and already recognize our voices.. J Also, by now his adorable face is almost fully formed!! Its even complete with eyelashes, eyebrows, and hair!! If we were to see our babe on an ultrasound at this point we might be able to see what features he has, and who he looks like!! For now, his skin is still transparent till that baby fat grows and sets in more! His skin won’t be see through for much longer though with all that weight gain! J

I can’t believe he is already the size of an ear of corn!!! HOLY COW!!! And will be here in 16 weeks!!! That time is gonna FLY by!! We can’t wait to meet, squish, and love our baby boy!!! We are so excited!!! We already love him SO much!!! J

How far along? 24 weeks (1 day)!!

Due Date: For now, June 17!! We will see how this moves in the next few months! 

Total weight gain/loss: Total 15 pounds so far! J Right on track according to my doctor!! 

Maternity clothes: Yes!! Some normal shirts still, but mostly maternity! J

Sleep: I am still sleeping really well!! Maybe a little TOO well.. LOL.. I need to be more regular about getting up and going to the bathroom through the night instead of holding it!!! I will usually get out of bed once to pee, and if I wake up again go back to sleep.. Yes I am really lazy!! Well, after this past week that has got to change!! I woke up 3 times last night to go.. Haha..

Best moment this week: So many awesome moments!! J I absolutely love feeling my baby boy move all the time!! Nothing makes me happier, and nothing beats that!! J We also FINALLY got him a dresser (we scratched the idea of a changing table after searching for WEEKS with no result, and figured he won’t be in his own room sleeping for 3-4 months anyway), now we just need to have it delivered in good condition (fingers crossed!!). Also, my sister went to Vegas this past weekend, and came home with the CUTEST onesie EVER for Brax!!! Its black, and in silver writing says “I’m what happened in Vegas”… LOL!!! Yes, that boy is a honeymoon baby, and YES he will have pictures done in that!!! LOL!! Oh, and putting together Brax's carseat, and stroller!!! YAY!!

Movement: TONS!!! And I absolutely LOVE it!!! This boy is super active!!

Food cravings: This week its powdered sugar donuts, and slushees! LOL! Still Mexican food as well, or anything spicey! J

Food aversions: Chicken (boiled, or grilled in particular), alfredo sauce, soup (except bean and bacon), onion and garlic! Still the same…

What I am looking forward to: Registering this weekend!!! YAY!!! I know it might seem a little early, but our first shower is March 29!! I am SO excited!!!

• Some back/hip/rib aches! Especially at the end of the day, OR when baby boy decides its super comfy to wedge himself up in my left ribcage.. OUCH!! This takes my breath away!!!
• Stretch marks… Booooooo….  
• Weak bladder, with more frequent pee.. Its getting to the point BIG laugh attacks, or sneezes can be scary! LOL!!
• Charlie horses!! These are mostly in my feet! Not in my legs yet! LUCKILY!!
• Sciatic, and round ligament pain!!
• Ugh and this week, a lovely bladder infection… L

23 weeks (4 days)- MANGO!

Not too sure how baby has gone from being a spaghetti squash, to a Mango? To me a squash seems much bigger!! LOL!!

Safe to say I am just a little bit behind!!!! I had my post all ready to go Tuesday when I got to work, and then BAM.. I was hit with the NASTY flu bug… My poor hubs woke up that morning and said he felt weird, and like he was getting sick (I still felt pretty good).. Being the trooper he is, he went to work and stayed all day.. He was really sleepy, nauseous, and groggy, but lucky for him, he never threw up.. Me on the other hand?? That’s a whole other story.. LOL.. I got really nauseous at work, and more or less sprinted to the bathroom.. I was in there for about 10 minutes, and had no luck since I would NOT kneel on the floor, or touch ANYTHING.. ICK.. LOL. So I decided at that point to go home.. I slept all day till hubs got home, and then the throwing up began… UGH, I was miserable.. L My hubby being the AMAZING man he is stepped up and took such good care of me, even though he was sick as well.. I couldn’t be any luckier!! He went and got me chicken and stars soup (LOL) and Gatorade.. We were both worried about keeping me hydrated for Brax’s sake.. I canceled my Dr appointment for that afternoon, and luckily was able to get in yesterday.. I stayed home from work, rested and drank LOTS of fluid!! Then headed to my appointment. I guess all precautions Dev and I took to keep me hydrated worked, cuz mister man was ALL over the place!! The doctor laughed as soon as she tried to get his heartbeat, and said he is VERY ACTIVE!!! And she wasn’t lying.. As soon as the monitor touched by belly Brax kicked it! Haha.. He must have not liked it very much!! His heart rate was a strong 166, which was perfect since he is such an active boy!! I also gained 3 pounds.. Which is okay since I was worried about how sick I was!! Today I am luckily feeling MUCH better, and Brax is still just as active as ever!!! I can already feel him movin all over this morning!!

This week Brax is just over a pound, and measuring 8 inches from the top of his head, to his cute lil bum!! This week marks some serious weight gain for Brax!! He is starting to gain his baby fat!! His weight should at least double in the next 4 weeks!! For now, his skin is a reddish color due to how thin it is, and his blood vessels developing. His skin is also hanging loosely from his body, since skin grows much faster than fat.. He should fill out over the next few months, so he will be a little chubbers when he is born (we hope!!).  Also this week, we should be able to hear Braxton’s heartbeat with a stethoscope!!! I think me and his daddy might have to go get one this weekend!! LOL.. The only thing better than hearing his strong heart, is getting to see his cute face!! J  

How far along? 23 weeks (4 days)!!

Due Date: For now, June 17!! We will see how this moves in the next few months! 

Total weight gain/loss: Total 15 pounds so far (guess I’ve been a bit off on my count)! J 

Maternity clothes: Oooh yes! And I LOVE being so comfy!!! I can still wear a few non-maternity tops, but we are in ALL maternity bottoms.. I got a SUPER cute dress at H&M this weekend that isn’t maternity! I just need the weather to get nicer so I can wear it! LOL!

Sleep: Sleepin like a baby! ;) Haha.. We usually crawl in bed about 9, and I get up at 1 to use the potty before waking up at 5 during the week.. On the weekends I use the potty about twice.. Been having some CRAZY, vivid dreams the past week.. Not all are dreams I care to remember.. So I wake up till I can forget about them as much as possible and fall back to sleep.. 

Best moment this week: WITHOUT A DOUBT, Sunday night!! I was laying on the couch while Dev was in the kitchen making Tank a kong.. I felt Brax wigglin, so grabbed my belly and BAM!! I felt the kid do THREE whole somersaults!! I think I was feeling his head, and back!!! I was ecstatic!! As quick as I could I screamed for Dev to get down to me to feel! He dropped what he was doing and ran, but he barely missed out!! I think I prob scared poor Brax, so he froze!! LOL!! He has become SO dang active since Friday! I love it!!!! I will admit, I have been a tad bit worried, since EVERY site I read says I should feel him ALL the time now, and everyone else should too.. With my uterus tilting backwards, and my placenta attaching low, I haven’t been able to feel him very much (my Dr told me not to worry, but how could I not??)… That’s all over for me now!! I feel him every hour! J I told Dev that by the end of the week he should be able to feel him all the time too! I know this made him super happy!! J He would never admit it or tell me (from fear of me crying, or getting upset), but I know he has been a bit bummed he hasn’t felt his baby boy very much!!

Movement: TONS AND TONS!!!! I told Dev last night I think he does nightly karat-ae! LOL.. I can’t wait for Dev to get to feel him all the time too!!

Food cravings: Mexican food galore!!  And anything spicey still!! Oh, and hello long lost hamburgers… J

Food aversions: Chicken (boiled, or grilled in particular), alfredo sauce, soup (except bean and bacon), onion and garlic! Still the same…

Belly Button in or out? Oh it’s the ugliest belly button EVER!!! LOL.. Its gotten really shallow, and smaller.. The bottom half is almost completely out, and the top half is still hangin back.. LOL..

What I miss: Not having to run to the bathroom each time someone makes me laugh hard… Yeah, I’ve gotten to THAT point… LOL..

What I am looking forward to: Working on decorations for Braxtons room this weekend, and going to the Safe Kids Fair! J

Valentines 2012!

Yesterday was mine n Dev's first Valentines day married! And it was wonderful!! :) We went out Saturday night to "celebrate" since we both wake up so dang early during the week, and go to bed super early (lets be honest, I am asleep way before Dev every night.. LOL!). Saturday we went to dinner at Dev's favorite (and now my favorite) BBQ place, Pat's, then headed to Coldstone to get some icecream, and went to see The Vow (I LOVE Channing Tatum (yum) and Dev has a thing for Rachel McAdams so it worked! LOL). Last night we just stayed home, made our yummy carne asada taco's, and spanish rice and exchanged our gifts!! It was really chill, and really nice, there's nothing better than staying home and spending time with Dev!!! We decided a few weeks ago to MAKE each others gifts this year, instead of going out and buying something new.. We also decided to set a $30 budget.. This was SO much fun!!! We both had a blast coming up with ideas, and making our gifts! We were both like little kids waiting to give each other what we made!! Dev was even saying last week how he wanted to give me my gift early cuz it was THAT good! Haha.. And that awesome hubby of mine sure didn't dissapoint! :)

Back in October we were in Target doing some shopping, and we came across a super cute & symbol in silver.. I saw it and fell in love with it, BUT decided I wanted to MAKE it, and add a twist.. I wanted to add YOU & ME, and put this on the ledge in our room above our bathroom, and closet doors! The ledge we have has been empty except for 2 picture frames since I moved in.. We've been focusing all our time, effort and money to other rooms (most recently Braxton's!). So, my AMAZING hubby remembered I wanted these, went out and bought them (unfinished), finished them all on his own and surprised me!!! I was SO excited!!! And so impressed! He did SO good!!! I immediately wanted to go put them up in our room!! LOL! And the trooper that he is, went right up and put them on the ledge! They look SO stinkin adorable!!! Heres a few pics, even though they don't do it justice!!!

My gift was a tad bit more cheesy, romantic and mushy... LOL.. I wrote Dev a book called "The Alphabet of our LOVE". This had a different picture, and memory from our relationship for each letter in the alphabet.. He LOVED it!! He smiled the entire time he read it, and told me it was so thoughtful! :) When we went up to put my gift on the ledge, he rearranged the dresser, and told me he had to make room so the book can be out EVERY day, but not out where everyone can read it cuz its personal, and just for him! :) I sure love this man!! He is the BEST!!! Heres a picture of the cover of the book (I promise the actual pages inside were MUCH more creative, Dev even told me he was surprised by my scrapbooking skills he never knew I had.. I even surprised myself!! LOL), and a picture of my hottie hubs showing his excitement!! :)

We had a great night together, and kept talking about how next year we will have a new Valentine to share the day with!! We can't wait!!! Hope everyone had a fantastic day, filled with lots of love! :)
