Half way there!!! 20 weeks (1 day)- Cantaloupe!!

Holy cow! A cantaloupe?! That seems SO big!! LOL! This week Brax is weighing in at about 10 ounces, and is 6 ½ inches long from the top of his little head, to his cute bum!! This week is kinda a slow week in development for Brax as TONS of his milestones have already hit!! The biggest thing to happen this week is his testicles are beginning their descent! Man, having a little baby boy is gonna take some adjusting! LOL!! His testicles will still be located in his abdomen, till they make their big debut in a few more weeks!

It is so amazing, crazy, exciting to think we are already half way through this pregnancy, and in just 20 more short weeks baby boy will be here!! Me n Dev are both SO dang excited! We cannot wait till he is here, and in our arms! J That’s gonna be the BEST feeling in the entire world!  We already love our baby boy SOOOOOOOO much!!!

How far along? 20 weeks (1 day). OFFICIALLY half way there!! WOOHOO!!
Due Date: Originally our due date was June 22, when I went to the ER in November they moved my due date up to June 17, and last week my Dr said we are measuring at June 16! He said neither of those are big enough jumps to officially move the due date yet, as baby might just be BIG! LOL.. So we will see as we get further along.. Hubs and I decided to stick with June 17! J
Total weight gain/loss: Well I sure was wrong guessing 6-8 pounds! LOL! I’ve gained 12 so far! Not bad though! My Dr says I’m right on track! J
Maternity clothes? Yep! Went out on Friday night and bought some aahhh-mazing maternity leggings, and a few shirts.. My lovely mama then went on Saturday and bought me some maternity jeans, and a couple shirts.. I can wear a lot of my normal shirts still, but at this point I’m WAY more comfy in maternity pants! J
Sleep: I can still sleep like a champ! LOL.. Wake up 1-2 times a night to pee, but other than that I’m basically dead to the world! LOL!
Best moment this week: LOTS this past week!!! The first best moment was last Tuesday when we got to see baby boy again, watch him move all over, and hear that he is still 100% a boy! LOL!! Next best moment was Saturday night, we went to dinner, and got ice cream with some friends and Brax was moving SO much!! He is just like his mama! He LOVES ice cream!! J Then last night at my parents everyone was able to feel him moving all around!! I LOVE that I am starting to feel him move all the time! Its so much fun!
Movement: TONS!!!! Not real strong kicks, or hits yet, but tons of rolls and movement!
Food cravings: Umm nothing new so far this week!!
Food aversions: Meat, alfredo sauce, garlic, onion, and soup!! No changes!!
Gender: Baby BOY!! J
Labor Signs: NONE! (Fingers crossed we stay that way for 5  more months)!!
Belly Button in or out? Innie still!
What I miss: Ummm this week I am missing TANNING, and caffeine! LOL!
What I am looking forward to: Finishing all the paint/bead board in Braxtons nursery, and starting to set up furniture this weekend!
Milestones: Feeling lil magoo move all the time!! YAY!

Symptons:
  • Some fatigue still… I am pretty sure this is gonna stick around for the next 20 years or so! LOL!
  • Food aversions still…
  • Increased appetite.. I am ALWAYS hungry these days! LOL.
  • Ugh… Pregnancy migraines…
  • Some back/hip/rib aches! Especially at the end of the day.
  • Stretch marks… Still just the 3!!
  • Gaining weight… There’s really no way around this one! So I just gotta welcome it with open arms! ;) LOL!
  • Weak bladder, with more frequent pee.. I think little magoo is on my bladder majority of the day.. Haha.. I use the bathroom, and have to go again within a half hour..
  • Charlie horses!! Boo!!! Haven’t had a real bad one YET, but I’ve had a few little ones in my legs, and feet!
  • Sciatic, and round ligament pain!! (Other than aches and pains I really do feel wonderful!!)

19 week appointment! :)

Yesterday we had our FIRST official ultrasound, and our monthly check up! It was a GREAT day!!! We started off with our ultrasound, and Brax would NOT hold still! Haha. He was movin, and swimmin all over the place!! Little stinker kept his head, and face towards my back, so we couldn't get very many shots of his cute face, but the tech did keep laughing saying he is ALL boy, and really proud of that fact! LOL!! He sure wasn't shy!! The tech looked over his brain stem, leg/arm growth, and his top lip and was able to almost 100% rule out spina bifida, down syndrome, and cleft lip so that was all good news (we are waiting on the blood test results for all birth defect testing)! She said he is progressing perfectly, but he is a BIG boy!! I swear looking at him in my belly he had NO room to move! He was so squished! I think my belly is gonna end up growing straight out at this point to give him room! LOL! From there we went to see my doctor and get a check up. He looked over me and my weight gain (which at this point is about 10 pounds, I wasn't thrilled, but he was.. lol) and said I look really great, and right on track! He then looked over all the ultrasound results, and asked if I was incorrect about the date of my last period.. Ummm no?? Why??? He started laughing, and said well, He is BIG!! LOL!! They initially gave us a due date of June 22, while in the ER they moved it up to June 17, and yesterday moved it again to June 16! My Dr said it isn't enough of a leap to OFFICIALLY move his date up, especially since he could just be a big boy! They will watch that, and determine once it gets a little bit closer!! He also informed me that my placenta has attached low, and on my back side. This is both good, and bad news! Good news cuz my placenta is FULLY attached now (phew!!), but bad at the same time because if it doesn't move up on its own to the correct spot I will have to have a C-Section delivery which I DO NOT want.. So heres to hoping and praying it moves on its own!! Dev and I decided it won't be ideal, BUT we will do whatever we have to to make sure Brax enters this world safely! :) Here's a couple pictures of Brax yesterday!!!

Brax was saluting!! LOL!!

Here is a picture of his LONG leg!! He was face down so you can also see his CUTE little bum!! I LOVE this picture!!! LOL!!

I sure do LOVE my baby boy already!! I fall more and more in love with him each time I get to see him!! So does his Daddy!! We both CAN NOT wait to have him here!! 4 1/2 more months to go baby!!

19 weeks (1 day)- Mango!!

YAY!! Finally a CUTE fruit! LOL! I can’t believe in 6 more days we are exactly half way through!! We have already done SO much, but still have so much to do.. We are working like crazy in Braxton’s nursery so we can have that done early on, and just enjoy the last couple months of my pregnancy before he arrives! We should have it finished (minus the furniture) this weekend! I can’t wait!! This week Brax is about half a pound (SO BIG J), and about 6 inches long from crown to bum! I can’t wait for our appointment tomorrow to see just how tall, and big he really is!! Based off our last ultrasound, our buddy has LONG legs!! Can’t wait to see how much he has already changed, and if he is still tall!! This week, Braxton’s arms and legs are in proportion, and his neurons are now connected between the brain and muscles. His cartilage throughout his body is turning to bone, making him stronger and stronger every day! This week Brax is also covered in something called vernix caseosa (vernix is the Latin word for varnish; caseosa is cheese), sounds really weird, and gross, but this is helping protect his skin while he is still in my belly! Without this, he would come out looking extremely wrinkly like he just took a 9 month bath.. LOL.. It should start to dissolve and disapear the last few weeks before he is born.

YAY for all the developments Brax is making this week! And changes to my belly!! I swear last week I woke up one day and BAM!! I looked pregnant.. LOL.. Dev absolutely LOVES it! He has me show my tummy to everyone all the time.. Haha. Such a proud daddy and hubby!!! We are SO excited for our appointment tomorrow!! I will post more pictures, and updates Wednesday!

How far along? 19 weeks (and 1 day).
Due Date: June 17, 2012 (we’ll see if that changes tomorrow)
Total weight gain/loss: Gonna guess about 6-8 pounds! Me n hubs need to buy a scale! LOL!
Maternity clothes? Not yet!! Still just using the belly band! J
Sleep: I’m pretty much back on track with sleep!! I wake up every 3-4 hours to pee, but then go right back to sleep within 5 minutes!
Best moment this week: Ordering Braxton’s dresser/changing table, and cleaning/organizing his room and carpet so we can move things in once they get delivered! YAY!
Movement: Little “gas bubble” type feelings.. Nothing super constant yet.. Hopefully soon!! I can’t wait to feel my little magoo move all the time!!
Food cravings: So far still just the same stuff!!! Spicy ANYTHING, fruit, sour candy, oreo’s (that’s the only chocolate that doesn’t give me indigestion lol), mac n cheese! Oh, and I’ve been craving banana shakes BAD!!
Food aversions: Meat, alfredo sauce, garlic, onion, and soup!! No changes!!
Gender: BOY!! J
Labor Signs: NONE! (Fingers crossed we stay that way for 5  more months)!!
Belly Button in or out? Innie still! I think within the next couple months it will be an outie.. LOL.
What I miss: Some days (like last Friday) caffeine!! I know I can still have like 200 MG’s a day, but I’m choosing not to.. I don’t think its fair to that little guy bein all locked up, and jacked up on caffeine! LOL!
What I am looking forward to: Getting to see our little buddy tomorrow!! That’s the BEST!! J
Milestones: Feeling more and more energized.. Oh, and starting a gym today.. Hubs is SO dang excited.. LOL.. Me?? I’d rather sleep! ;)

Symptons:
  • Some fatigue still… I am pretty sure this is gonna stick around for the next 20 years or so! LOL!
  • Food aversions still…
  • Increased appetite.. I am ALWAYS hungry these days! LOL.
  • Ugh… Pregnancy migraines…
  • Some back aches.. Yesterday after Walmart, and grocery shopping my back was DONE! I had to rest and get my second wind before working in Brax’s room!
  • Stretch marks… The LONE stretch mark has made 2 new friends.. LOL.. YUCK!! Fortunately for me, they are not seen.. They are really well hidden.. I’m the only one that’s noticed!

Silly Tankers with my sister D! This is his good morning, smile face! LOL!

This past week! :)

This past week we have (of course, what else is new?? lol..) been SUPER busy!!! Over the last weekend we cleared out Braxton's room, and began painting! The WHOLE house when we initially moved in look like the pictures below.. HORRIBLE.. Dull, dingy white paint all over, and looked SO dirty (luckily besides Brax's room, and mine n Devs master bath the whole house is now painted).. So we painted his floor boards, door frames, door, closets, etc bright white.. SO much better! We switched out his hinges, and door knob too since they were brass.. The WHOLE house had brass hinges, knobs, lighting fixtures, etc when we first moved in.. Now, we are down to ONLY our master bath! YAY!! I'll be sure to post updated pictures once his nursery is all painted! :)

YES, that is me in all my hobo looking glory.. LOL..

Last night we also started Tank in training classes! Me n Dev were both SO excited to take him, and see how he did.. He did WONDERFUL!! He is such a smart dog!! He just needs someone to push him a little bit, and he will be perfect! We have been a little nervous about bringing Brax home with Tank since he is SO huge, and still such a puppy.. But after seeing him in training last night, we realized over the next 5 months he is going to grow, learn and change so much! He is going to be the BEST big brother to Brax! We can't wait to see them playing together! Here's a couple pics of us waiting for his training class to start... Have I mentioned I LOVE my boys?!?! And cannot wait to add a third??? ;)

So excited to get out and start school! LOL..

Love his big ol' nose!!

This is my absolute FAVORITE picture EVER!!! It doesn't get better than these 2 boys! Can't wait for Brax to be in the pictures with them!! :)

18 weeks (2 days)- Bell Pepper!!

I can’t believe I am exactly 5 months from my due date today! Seems like time is going by SO dang fast!! 2 more weeks and I will be exactly half way through!! Can’t wait to meet our handsome little boy!! This weekend Braxton’s bedding was delivered, YAY!! It’s SO adorable!! I love it! We planned out how we are going to paint, and decorate his room and started doing work! Saturday we got the floor boards, and door frames in his room painted bright white, we also got his door painted, and his door knob and hinges switched out! When we first bought the house, EVERYTHING was bronze.. YUCK.. We have been slowly working to get rid of it all, and switch to brushed nickle.. We only have 2 ceiling fans left and we’ll be bronze free! LOL! We went this weekend and brought Brax the CUTEST little outfits too! I can’t wait till he is here, and wearing it all!! He is definitely gonna be the best dressed little stud around! LOL!

This week Brax is getting ready to bust a move! LOL! He is 5 ½ inches long (top of his head, to his lil bum, that doesn’t include his LONG leggies), and about 5-7 ounces in weight, so he is getting big enough for mama to start feeling his kicks, punches, twists and turns all the time! Hopefully he is big enough so daddy can start feeling him too! This week, Brax is also developing yawning and hiccupping skills! (Cannot wait to feel those little hiccups!!) Braxton’s nervous system is also growing more complex this week. The systems in his brain are developing into the ones that will serve the sense of touch, scent, sight, taste and hearing! He is growing SO much, and so fast.. J

How far along? 18 weeks (and 2 days). I am officially 5 months from my due date today!! YAY!!
Due Date: June 17, 2012
Total weight gain/loss: Gonna guess about 6-8 pounds! Me n hubs need to buy a scale! LOL!
Maternity clothes? Not yet!! Still just using the belly band! J
Sleep: Umm sleep has been a bit harder this week… Saturday I swear I don’t think I slept more than an hour! I had SO much energy all day, and it carried on in to the night.. I slept better Sunday and Monday night though!! I wake up every couple hours, but usually fall right back to sleep!
Best moment this week: Getting Braxton’s bedding delivered, and starting to work on his nursery! J
Movement: I’m starting to notice little pops all the time now!! Nothing that anyone else can feel, but mama sure feels her baby boy bouncing around!! Hopefully this week Dev and everyone else start feeling him!
Food cravings: I swear this weekend I couldn’t get enough cereal! LOL!! Mac n Cheese, salsa, fruity/sour candy, oreos, and, welcome back La Frontera!! Its been a rough 4 months without you, but I am SO glad you are back! LOL!
Food aversions: Meat, alfredo sauce, garlic, onion, and soup!!
Gender: ALL boy! J We get to see him again in a week to confirm he is still all boy! LOL!
Labor Signs: NONE! (Fingers crossed we stay that way for 5  more months)!!
Belly Button in or out? Innie, but according to my fam and hubs, my belly button is getting big, and really round.. Dev called it an ant pool.. LOL!!
What I miss: Not much!! I feel pretty good today besides the normal aches and pains, and another headache!
What I am looking forward to: Next Tuesday, and getting to see our handsome baby boy again! JJ
Milestones: Getting more energy back for sure!! I still LOVE my sleep, but I can hang a bit longer than I could 2 weeks ago! LOL!

Symptons:
·        Some fatigue still… I am pretty sure this is gonna stick around for the next 20 years or so! LOL!
·        Welcome back sciatic nerve, and round ligament pain.. This was SO bad on Saturday I couldn’t even walk.. A nice bath, and a night with my snoogle fixed that! LOL!
·        Food aversions still…
·        Increased appetite.. I feel like I am always hungry, but can never seem to eat very much! Cereal has been my favorite “snack” this weekend!
·        Ugh… Pregnancy migraines… I’ve had the same headache all weekend.. Its dull, but definitely reminds me of its presence..
·        Some back aches.. By the end of the day my lower back is pretty tight, and sore..
·        Stretch marks… Luckily there has only been the ONE to show up so far.. Hopefully they stay away now! LOL!
·        Gaining weight… There’s really no way around this one! So I just gotta welcome it with open arms! ;) LOL!
·        Oh and yesterday I had my first sneeze, with some pee! LOL!! Dev thought this was pretty funny!! Me on the other hand, I had just peed 5 minutes before so not so funny! LOL!! Now my bladder just doesn’t seem to be the same.. Haha.

17 weeks- Turnip!

YAY for feeling better and better with each new week that passes!! Today I feel almost 100% again! That’s a wonderful change! I hope the next 4 ½ months go by smooth! We had a fantastic weekend! We picked out Braxton’s nursery set, and decided how we are going to paint his room.. We spent lots of time with family, and got Braxton a few cases of diapers and wipes (which Dev said felt SO weird.. lol), and some new lights for the house! We were busy ALL weekend, and lucky for me (and Dev) I wasn’t TOO exhausted.. My amazing hubs still lets me go to bed early at night (he’s the BEST), and it probably helps that he now has his Xbox, and can play Madden live with his brother, my cousin, and his friend! LOL!

This week Brax is about the size of my open hand, and weighs 5 ounces! He’s finally starting to gain his baby fat, YAY!! Can’t wait to squish his cute little cheeks! LOL! His heartbeat is about 140-150 BPM, about twice as fast as mine! Brax is also practicing swallowing, and breathing this week. He is also able to hear things like a doorbell, the vacuum, and Tank barking, these different noises may startle him, but are also preparing him for when he is born. Which is a good thing, cuz his big brother Tank is a non stop barker.. LOL. Brax’s eyes can see light, and are even making side to side movements, even though his eyelids are still sealed. And last but not least within the next week Braxton’s fingers and toe’s will develop their own special prints!

How far along? 17 weeks (and 1 day).
Due Date: June 17, 2012
Total weight gain/loss: Umm last week at our appointment I had gained 2 pounds since the last time we went in! I am gonna say I’ve gained about 6 pounds so far!
Maternity clothes? Not yet! Still using a hair tie to button my jeans, and a belly band! My awesome mom is making me 2 new belly bands this week too! WOO HOO! LOL..
Sleep: I’ve been sleeping much better this week so far! J
Best moment this week: Hearing Braxton’s heartbeat immediately at our appointment last week! Our Dr said he has a big, strong heart! J
Movement: Nothing that I have really noticed yet! Hopefully this week I start to feel him all the time!!
Food cravings: Umm this weekend I realized I’m not craving some particular thing ALL the time, but there’s a few things that always sound good to me.. That’s fruit/veggies, mac n cheese, salsa, mcdonalds fries, and egg mcmuffins! LOL!
Food aversions: Still meat and soup.. GROSS!!! I also can’t stand the smell or taste of onions or garlic! Oh and add in alfredo sauce!
Gender: STILL a little baby BOY!! Little Braxton Lester Baker! J  We have our actual “gender determination” appointment on the 24th, so we will get to see him again!  YAY!
Labor Signs: NONE! (Fingers crossed we stay that way for 5  more months)!!
Belly Button in or out? Innie
What I miss: Nothing really!! I was released last week to get back to normal activity! Even though I’m still gonna take it easy with lifting, straining, etc.. Now that I’m in my second trimester I’m having a pretty easy time!
J
What I am looking forward to: Hopefully feeling Brax move this week, and seeing him at our next appointment! Getting to see him is always my FAVORITE!
Milestones: Starting to feel more like a human, and less like the walking, nauseous dead! LOL!

 Symptons:
·        Fatigue still… I am pretty sure this is gonna stick around for the next 20 years or so! LOL!
      ·        Some Sciatic nerve pain, but really not much anymore!
·        Food aversions still…
·        Increased appetite.. I feel like I am always hungry, but can never seem to eat very much!
·        Ugh… Pregnancy migraines… I had the WORST migraine of my life last week, luckily my Dr    appointment was the same day, and he gave me some medicine.. I feel MUCH better! Unfortunately, they will probably come and go the rest of my pregnancy.. But that’s okay, as long as they aren’t daily!!
·        Some back aches.. By the end of the day my lower back is pretty tight, and sore..
·        Stretch marks… L Wah.. This was the ONE thing I was really hoping to dodge! Luckily, they aren’t bad, or really very visible.. They are just appearing with my ever growing chest.. LOL..
·        Gaining weight… There’s really no way around this one! So I just gotta welcome it with open arms! ;) LOL!

Braxton's cute nursery stuff!! We are painting his whole room tan, with bright white trim and doors.. Then his wall with the window will have bright white bead board on the bottom half, and the top half will be the light green in the bedding! :)

Another cute picture! This is also the AWESOME crib my parents are buying for Brax! :)

2012!

2011 was, I can say honestly the BEST year of my entire life! :) I was able to have the wedding of my dreams, and marry the man of my dreams!! :) I never thought in a million years I would get so lucky to find someone so amazing to get to share the REST of my life with! :) Devin is the absolute best man I have ever known, and I cannot imagine my life without him!! Married life so far is the BEST! Everyone said the first year of marriage is the hardest, but Dev and I don't think so.. Its all came so easy for us! We have been loving every second of it!

This year Devin and I also bought our first home! :) We absolutely love our little home together! We have put a lot of time in to making it our own! And we LOVE it! A home owners work is never done, and that proves itself every day, but we wouldn't change it for the world! Getting to call it our OWN is the best feeling ever! :)

This year Devin and I also got our first little baby!!! Tank! He is a little stinker, sometimes a little naughty, but he is the best! We love him to death!! He is gonna make a great big brother to Braxton! ;)

Also in 2011 Devin and I found out we are expecting the BEST gift of our lives in June 2012! We cannot wait to meet our baby boy Braxton Lester Baker!!! But no hurry baby, stay right where you are till June 17! :)

We have had so much fun just being together, and spending time with our amazing friends and family. We love the life we have built together, and wouldn't change it for anything!! We are looking forward to 2012 SO much!!! 2011 was the BEST, but I think 2012 is gonna come in as a tie for the best year ever! We are extremely lucky, and happy and can't wait to see what else 2012 has to offer! :) Happy New Year!!!

My cute belly bump!! Headin to Braxton's first Jazz game! :)

LOVE him SO very much!!! :)

16 weeks- Avocado!

I can’t believe this past Sunday hit 4 months already! HOLY COW!!! 16 weeks already! In 4 more weeks we will officially be half way through this pregnancy, and half way to seeing our little Brax! J We are so dang excited!! We are gonna start working in his nursery this weekend! I can’t wait!! We are going to pick out his bedding, then going to get the paint! Its crazy how real it’s all starting to seem!! J

This week little Brax is weighing in at around 3-5 ounces, and is 4-5 inches in length! Guessing by his last pictures, with his CRAZY long legs, I’m gonna guess he is on the taller end of that number! LOL! His bones in his little ears are now in place so he can hear lots of noises going on around him! I LOVE the fact that he can hear me talking! The muscles in his tiny body are getting stronger too, especially the ones in his back so he is able to straighten out more. And his facial muscles are getting stronger and stronger as well, so now he is able to make some expressions like frowning, and squinting. Braxtons eyes are fully functioning now, making small movements side to side, so he is even able to see some light!

Hopefully we get to see Brax tomorrow at our appointment! That’s my absolute favorite right now! J

How far along? 16 weeks (and 2 days).
Due Date: June 17, 2012
Total weight gain/loss: Not too sure?! We will see Wednesday at our doctor appointment! I am still thinking about 5 pounds!
Maternity clothes? Not yet! Still using a hair tie to button my jeans, and a belly band! I think within the next month I will be in maternity jeans! Most of my normal shirts still fit (fingers crossed)!
Sleep: This past week I’ve been waking up a little bit through the night.. But I fall back to sleep pretty quick!
Best moment this week: Thursday night, Dev and I were laying in bed, and I was holding my tummy.. I felt 2 little “popcorn pops”, and wondered if it was Brax movin around.. Dev put his hands on my belly and after a couple minutes we felt (what we think) was a little kick right under my belly button! J Dev and I both felt it at the same exact time.. To me, it felt as if someone was inside my tummy, and poked me with their finger! It was the BEST feeling! I can’t wait to feel him move every day!
Movement: Just the little movement Thursday night! J
Food cravings: Still not really craving anything consistently!!
Food aversions: Still MEAT and SOUP.. GROSS!!! I also can’t stand the smell or taste of onions or garlic! Oh and add in alfredo sauce now.. ICK! LOL!
Gender: STILL a little baby BOY!! Little Braxton Lester Baker! J  People keep joking that might change, but I don’t think so!!
Labor Signs: NONE! (Fingers crossed we stay that way for 5  more months)!!
Belly Button in or out? Innie
What I miss: Strenuous activity… LOL.. All shapes and forms! (Hopefully January 4 at our next appointment I get release to get some activity back)
What I am looking forward to: Our doctor appointment Wednesday, and hopefully getting some good news!
J
Milestones: Starting to feel more like a human, and less like the walking, nauseous dead! LOL!

Symptons:
·        Fatigue still… I am pretty sure this is gonna stick around for the next 20 years or so! LOL!
·        Nasal congestion
·        Round ligament pain, AND sciatic nerve pain… These are getting better and better!! I haven’t really had many pains in this past week! Just a little sciatic pain after laying on the couch!
·        Food aversions still…
·        Gaining weight… There’s really no way around this one! So I just gotta welcome it with open arms! ;) LOL!
