Christmas 2011! :)
This year our Christmas festivities began Saturday December 17! We went to my Grandpa, and his wifes house to celebrate (early) Christmas! :) We live seriously like 1/2 a mile from my grandpa so we were there a bit early.. Haha.. Once everyone got there, we all ate, then did our gift exchange! We got what my Grandpa calls "a couples gift".. LOL.. It was a bag filled with super cute stuff! We got a doggie treat jar for Tankers, some treats for him, a cute pad of paper to hang on the fridge, and a pen, we also got a cute tree shaped soap dispenser, and a white hand towel with a candy cane! Last but not least, we got a movie gift certificate, and a giftcard to Iggy's. :) WOO HOO! Dev and I will be having date night very soon! LOL!
Friday night, the 23rd, we had Devin's moms family party with all her siblings, their kids, etc.. I guess they usually do this party every year, but took a break last year! The whole family getting together is a lot of work! But it was a TON of fun! :) We did a white elephant gift exchange, and had an ugly sweater contest! My sweater was AWFUL, but unfortunately didn't win.. I was being called a DOILY all night.. LOL.. I had a mauve colored sweater, with white lace following the V neck in front, and draping all the way across the back in a straight square.. LOL.. Devs sweater was home made cuz we couldn't find him one ugly enough anywhere! LOL! He had a grandpa styled dark green sweater, with a stocking sewn to the front, with a gingerbread man hanging out of it.. Hahaha.. It was awesome! (unfortunatley this year I have been AWFUL with my camera, so I didn't get any pics..). Our white elephant gifts KILLED it too!! I brought a 1989 work out video, and found the EXACT outfit the lady on the cover was wearing.. It was a purple (swimsuit looking) body suit.. Dev's brother Steven got the gift! LOL! It was hilarious!!! Dev brought a HUGE red and gold sombrero!!! LOL! His cousin got this, and wore it ALL night!! It was a great time!
Saturday, Christmas Eve we woke up and headed to my Great Grandpas house with my fambam! :) I LOVE spending time with my grandpa! He is honestly the best man I have ever known! He is going to be 96 next month, and has had the most fulfilled life I have ever heard! :) I could sit and listen to his stories ALL DAY! :) We stayed there for a little over an hour, then headed home to get ready for the night! Our first stop was Devin's parents house! We got up there a bit early, and Dev helped out a bit with the 100 taco's they made.. LOL.. (Yes 100, they were more or less feeding a small army.. haha).. We ate the yummy dinner, then exchanged gifts! Devs parents gave each kid a new patio set, along with an AWESOME yard game.. I can't remember what its called, but we used to play it at my parents all the time till theirs broke.. LOL! From there we headed up to my Aunt Sharon and Uncle Gregs house in Fort Union to do Christmas with my fam! :) We ate, AGAIN (yummy ham, potatoes, salad, rolls, etc), then did the Gag gift gift exchange.. Once again (besides my moms NASTY gift) mine n Devs killed it! :) We brought a singing Justin Bieber toothbrush, with toothpaste LOL!! And something called a comfy-wipe (use your imagination) with a thing of wipes.. LOL.. Dev walked away with some toilet seat covers, and some bags that apprently you take with you camping to use for potty purposes.. LOL.. My moms gift got SCREAMS, and dry heaves.. LOL.. She got some of the BIGGEST tighty whities you could find, along with a bottle of pepto.. One pair of tighty whities she sprayed PAM cooking spray in the crotch, and in the other pair she melted a disgusting looking candy bar.. LOL! My Aunt Paula opened it and chucked it across the room as she screamed! LOL! It was hilarious! There seems to be a reoccuring theme with my family's gifts each year.... LOL. From there we headed to my parents so Dev could make us our Christmas morning, cinnamon sticky bread thing under my moms guidance.. LOL..
Sunday morning we got up bright and early (having a dog is good practice for a baby, he NEVER lets us sleep past 8.. LOL). Put our yummy breakfast in the oven, then exchanged gifts.. :) My adorable hubby got me the BEST gifts, and all except for his shirts I got him not fitting (booooo pregnant brain), I think I did pretty well with him also! :) We gave our doggie Tank his presents, and it was the cutest thing! With each new thing we gave him he got SO excited he would wag his tail as fast as it could go, and he would cry! LOL! He cracks us up!!! We then got ready and headed up to Dev's parents to give them another gift from us.. :) Then we headed to my Dads parents house for a bit, then to my parents! We exchanged gifts, ate some yummy dinner and watched my football team (the Packers) kick my dad's football teams BOOTIES (the Bears).. Then of course, my mom held true to her Christmas tradition, and gave us all new PJ's to wear! LOL! It was a great night!!
Overall we had a WONDERFUL Christmas this year! :) Being as busy as we were (and me running on E and being the walking dead) was well worth it cuz we got to spend so much quality time with our families! :) Dev and I both kept saying how crazy it is that next year we will have a little one! :)

Symptons:

· Nasal congestion, along with bloody noses! ICK! They aren’t full fledged bloddy noses yet, just when I blow.. Haha..
· Round ligament pain, AND sciatic nerve pain… These were AWFUL last week!! They literally took my breath away each time one hit!! Lucky for me, my AWESOME sister gave me a pregnancy pillow which has saved my life! LOL! I haven’t had any pains since I started to use this! Dev hates it though cuz I sleep on the left side of the bed, and that’s where our TV is, and when the pillow is between my thighs he can’t see the TV without sitting straight up.. LOL.. And last night he said “This dang pillow is running everything! I can’t even snuggle with my pregnant wife!! LOL!! We made it work though! He just snuggled the pillow AND me.. Haha).
· Food aversions still… LOL..

BABY!!!!
Last night was mine n Devin's appointment at Fetal Studio! We invited both sets of our parents to come, so the event would be EXTRA special! :) After our lil babe is born Dev's parents will be grandparents to a whopping 15 kiddos!! And this is my parents first! :) It was a REALLY special night!! :)
We got in to the ultrasound room, and the Doctor started the ultrasound! This is what we saw when we first tried....
We got in to the ultrasound room, and the Doctor started the ultrasound! This is what we saw when we first tried....
LOL! This lil baby is a shy/stubborn/sleepy one!!! Haha.. Baby would NOT move for anything! It was too busy sleeping!!! Haha.. If you look, you can see its lil legs crossed!! So cute!! LOL!!
After a couple minutes with baby sleepin, the doctor had me roll over to my side to see if we couldn't get baby to wake up and show us the goods! ;) Baby did roll after a couple minutes, BUT kept its little legs crossed!! LOL!! We got to see this AMAZING picture of its cute face though!!!
You can see the legs folded, and baby has its hand up to its ear! You can also see all its facial features! SO AMAZING!! LOL! I started laughing, and the doctor was poking all around! I think baby was sick of it and wanted to go back to sleep, it kept moving and stretching! :)
After a couple more minutes of baby sleepin, it FINALLY started to roll around! Just then the doctor froze the screen, and pointed to one area on the screen, and said "uh-oh, do you see what that is?!".. LOL!!
I yelled out "Its a weenie!!".. LOL!! So yes, you can see our lil baby is a BOY!!! We are SO dang excited!!! Mama always knew her baby was a boy!! I could feel it for weeks!! :) So this is Braxton Lester Baker! :) Can't wait to meet you baby boy!!! :) You stay there for 6 more months and finish growing so you are big and strong!!! :)
The doctor we saw was AMAZING!! He was so nice, and funny and worked really hard to get baby to show us who he is!! He told my mom he is 300% sure its a boy! Then explained to us exactly how he can tell! :) The next picture is my absolute favorite!! I think this is already a peek in to Braxton's lil personality!! :)
He slid his lil bum all the way down to the bottom of my uterus, kicked his legs up and put one arm behind his head! He was just chillin! LOL!! So stinkin cute!!! I fell SO much more in love with him last night!! Its crazy how you can love someone so incredibly much that you've never even met! :)
This was the BEST day of my entire life, and the most amazing experience!!
I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas, and a wonderful new year!! 2011 was amazing, but I have a feeling 2012 is going to be even better!! :)

14 weeks- Lemon!
Sunday we started our second trimester, and week 14! I’m REALLY excited to be starting my second trimester, from what I hear this is most women’s FAVORITE trimester. I am hoping the nausea FINALLY hits the road for good, and that my acne starts to clear up.. I’m okay with the fatigue (only cuz my hubby is amazing and lets me sleep as much as I want J ).
This week baby is moving more fluid, and not so jerky! In an ultrasound we would be able to see baby clench and unclench its hands, kick, twist, stretch, possibly suck its thumb, etc! I CAN NOT wait till Wednesday when I get to see our little baby again!! J Hopefully its got some good moves to show! Haha. Baby’s neck is now longer, and the chin is more prevalent, the head and face also appear more refined, and the eyes have moved to the front of the face! Baby’s eyes are still fused shut. The nose bridge begins to appear, and the ears are moved to the side of the head, and are higher in place. The major development this week is the thyroid glands are producing and releasing hormones! Baby has also developed its sleep and awake sessions at this time. Last time we were at the doctors baby was fast asleep, and all we were able to see was its back! Hopefully this time baby is wide awake, and ready to show us its moves, and what gender it is! J
How far along? 14 weeks (and 1 day).
Due Date: June 17, 2012
Total weight gain/loss: Still not too sure!!! I’m guessing about 2 pounds!?
Maternity clothes? Not yet! Still my normal clothes, BUT I am wearing a hair tie to button up my jeans, as well as a belly band which is the BEST thing ever! J
Sleep: Ask my hubs, I sleep perfectly.. LOL.. I’m usually asleep each night about 8:30, and get up once a night to use the bathroom!
Best moment this week: Feeling a little bit back to normal! :)
Movement: Nothing for a couple weeks!! We can’t wait till we can feel baby every day! J
Food cravings: Still oranges this week!!
Food aversions: ICK.. MEAT.. All forms of meat is just ca-ca.. LOL.. I also don’t care for any kind of soup.. The idea of the food all mixed together is no good! Oh and onions!!!
Gender: Hopefully we will be finding out in 2 more days!! J
Labor Signs: None! Hopefully our problems are behind us, and the next 6 months go by smooth!!

Milestones: Starting our second trimester!! YAHOO!!
Symptoms:
- Round ligament pain FOR SURE.. These are like massive sideaches! OUCH!! I’m gladly accepting these though cuz that just means I will FINALLY look pregnant, and not just bloated! LOL!
- Headaches.. L I used to get really bad migraines before I got pregnant, so its not really shocking I’m getting headaches.. I just wish I could take something to get rid of it (stronger than just Tylenol).
- Fatigue.. Yes, still!! LOL.. I am guessing I’m gonna be tired the next 18-20 years of my life! Hahaha..
- Increasing appetite.. I feel like I am ALWAYS hungry, but I can’t seem to eat very much.. Its really bazaar.. LOL.

13 weeks (1 day)- Peach! :)
Yesterday I hit 13 weeks! :) Can't believe how fast time seems to be going already! I keep saying I hope the next 6 months FLY by, then slow down a whole bunch!! Haha.. I can dream right?! :)
This week baby's milestones include the following, tiny bones are beginning to form in baby's arms and legs, the intestines are beginning to move from the umbilical cord to the abdomen, and the vocal cords are well under construction! And since baby is able to move its arms and legs in a jerky motion, it may be able to get its cute lil thumb in to its mouth! :)
Here's a cute little weekly survey I found online that I'm going to start using each week when I post a new picture! :)

Our first Christmas tree! :)
Last year the day after Christmas Dev and I went out and bought a tree for this year!! :) The stores were all having really good sales, so we figured that would be much better than paying full price this year! We got a 7.5 foot, prelit tree! Its super pretty!!! We also bought a few things of ornaments last year! We decided to do our tree in red and silver.. :) This year we went to Tai Pan, and Hobby Lobby over Thanksgiving weekend as all their Christmas decorations were 50% off or better..We got LOTS of decorations!! :) The pictures below are BEFORE pics.. And when I say before, I mean before TANK decided tree ornaments are really tastey, and he enjoys eating them... LOL.. He has eaten 16 dang ornaments (keep in mind they are shatter proof, not glass lol)!!! He is such a brat! He won't even try to hide it, he will go to the tree, pick an ornament then find me or Dev with it hanging out of his mouth to show us what he's done.. Haha.. The week I was on bed rest was THE WORST.. I couldn't chase him around, so I just had to let him shred it.. :( It got to the point he was locked upstairs in my bedroom with me ALL DAY and could only go out when I did or when Dev was home.. LOL.. Naughty puppy!!!

12 weeks, Lime! :)
My doctor hasn't OFFICIALLY moved up our EDD yet, BUT based off the ultrasound we are a little more pregnant than we had thought! Haha.. We were 12 weeks on this past Sunday! Making us 12 weeks, 3 days today (yeah that makes the day we got pregnant September 11, day after the wedding. LOL)! :) Baby is the size of a LIME! WOO HOO!! Moving up our EDD just a little makes us due on June 17, 2012- FATHERS DAY!! :) That would be the perfect Fathers Day gift for Dev!! :)
This week baby's fetal digestive system is beginning to practice contraction movements necessary for eating, and his bone marrow is busy making white blood cells. The pituitary glad has also started producing hormones that will enable baby to make me a grandma one day! LOL! :) Its so exciting knowing baby is an ACTUAL baby at this point, and has all its major systems in place and they are maturing! We can't wait to meet this little baby!! :)
Symptoms:
- STILL extremely tired.. The fatigue is kicking my butt!! LOL!
- Some nausea still, not nearly as bad as it was 3-4 weeks ago! So thats good! Its on its way out!
- Some occassional headaches.. And Im trying not to take any medication, so I just "sleep" it off! :)
- Ugh pain in the BUTT acne.. Everyone is saying baby is a girl based off an old wives tale about "stealing the mothers beauty".. So guess we shall see! LOL!
- Excessive Saliva.. ICK.. I feel like my mouth is ALWAYS watering.. LOL..
- Increased sense of smell. I already had a super sniffer before I was pregnant, so I can smell things MILES away I swear! LOL!
Cravings:
- I've started to drift slowly away from veggies.. Still crave fruits ALL THE TIME! But now I have added in marshmallows and root beer! LOL! I swear I can't get enough!!!
- Meat still sounds AWFUL in all forms... Friday a steak sounded good, so to get me outta the house Dev took me to Texas Roadhouse for dinner.. Bad move.. It didn't sit well in my tummy later! I think cuz I haven't eaten meat in SO long! LOL!
Subchorionic Hemmorhage
Last Monday morning I woke up to get ready for work, went in to the bathroom and found I had been bleeding a lot during the night.. I immediately ran downstairs to Dev where he was eating breakfast and started to cry and freak out.. He did his best at calming me down, got me back upstairs in to bed and headed out for work (yeah his work is crappy, they don't get sick days).. I text my sister to go wake up my Mom and have her call me so I didn't wake up my Dad.. Well, that didn't work cuz as soon as my mom woke up and started to talk to my sister my Dad was up too.. LOL.. My Mom called me to see what was going on, and I filled her in.. She told me to try calling my Doctor, so I did.. I got connected to an on call doctor who told me it happens a lot, and it was probably no big deal, just to keep an eye on it.. REALLY??? No, I don't think so.. So I called my mom back and filled her in, we decided I would wait till 8 and call my Doctor.. I went and showered then layed down on the couch till 8. I called my Doctor's office and spoke to the nurse as he was out on surgeries all morning.. She told me I needed to get over to the ER immediately to see if I have a viable pregnancy.. My heart sank... :( That wasn't the news I wanted to hear.. My mom was already at my house, so we headed up to the Riverton IMC ER (as this is where my doctor is based).
I got put back in a room where they hooked me up to an IV, took a TON of blood, and a urine sample.. After about 2 hours, they told me my test results were so far so good, but we needed to go in and do an ultrasound.. We headed back to the ultrasound room, and the tech told me she wasn't allowed to discuss anything we were seeing, but the radiologist would look over the ultrasound, and speak with the doctor and I would then get the results.. I was trying hard not to peek at the monitor cuz I was scared of what I would see, or to get my hopes up.. But I had to! As soon as the tech put the machine up to my tummy I saw a perfect little baby doing little sommersaults, and flippys all over! It was AMAZING to see, but I was still scared to death.. My mom watched the monitor like a HAWK and saw the baby had a heart rate of 174 BPM, and was moving all over.. We got back to the room and waited once again for the doctor.. After about 30 minutes the SWEETEST nurse came in and told me the doctor would be in soon, and it was GOOD. She said there was good and bad news, but it was mostly good.. So we waited patiently..
The doctor FINALLY came in after what seemed to be FOREVER and told me my baby actually measured to be farther along than we initially thought.. I thought when I went in to the ER I was 10 weeks, 3 days, but really I was 11 weeks, 1 day! That was exciting!! :) He told me baby is perfect, and growing really well, BUT I have what is called a Subchorionic Hemmorhage aka Threatened Abortion.. Once again, my heart sank.. :( I was scared to death.. He told me basically what this means is when the placenta was attaching, it hit a blood vessel causing me to bleed, due to the blood the placenta wasn't able to attach in that area.. The blood would need to drain so the placenta can attach, and I can't have it tear any further or I am at risk of losing the baby.. He put me on FULL bed rest till I could see my regular OB the next day and he can decide further what I need to do.. I headed home, and Dev met me there.. He snuck out of work early to be with me as we both had a LONG day waiting..
We got in to see my regular OB on Tuesday, he looked over the ultrasound scans and said baby is PERFECT, and great sized.. I just need to get my placenta to reattach and heal, so it was FULL bed rest for a week, then I would be re evaluated to see if my bleeding had stopped, and how the placenta was doing.. This was a LONG week.. I think both Dev and I were walking somewhat on egg shells, we were both scared to death, praying for the best and fearing the worst.. It was a tough week.. I am truly lucky to have such an amazing hubby.. He took care of me and EVERYTHING the entire week.. He is absolutely the best husband in the entire world! :) My family is amazing as well! My cute grandmas called me every single day last week to check on me, and my Dads mom brought me n Dev dinner (which was more like a week long feast.. lol). Devs Dad and my Uncle Troy came over and gave me and the baby a blessing, which was great! It really helped calm my nerves, and brought me some peace of mind for the next week. :)
Devin and I headed back to the doctors this past Monday. My bleeding had stopped on Saturday, so that was GREAT news!! We did another ultrasound (Dev was SUPER excited as this was the first time he actually got to be there). Baby was sleeping with its back facing us, so we didn't get to see its cute face, but thats okay! We saw its cute head, back, neck, legs, arms and ears!! :) Its so much fun seeing baby!!! They did the heart rate again as well, and this week it had slowed to 161 BPM.. Still perfect! :) As of now I have been taken off bed rest, but still have TONS of restrictions.. No lifting, no stairs, no long walks, no stress, etc.. I just have to take it easy the rest of my pregnancy and let baby keep growing! Baby is a fighter already, so I am going to do EVERYTHING in my power to fight just as hard for baby! :)
Devin and I are going on December 23 to Fetal Foto to find out what baby is as we will be just about 15 weeks at that time, and WE CANNOT wait another minute to find out what we are having!! We are planning on announcing the sex of the baby to our families on Christmas Eve as well! :)
My cute grandmas called me every single day last week to check on me, and my Dads mom brought me n Dev dinner (which was more like a week long feast.. lol). Temple lights!
The weekend of Thanksgiving, me n Dev, my cute sisters, and our cousin Jake with his girlfriend Viri went to see the lights at Temple Square! It was SO beautiful!! We picked a great night to go too, the weather wasn't too bad! Pretty chilly, but no snow and NOTHING like the freeze we are in now! LOL!! Jake and Viri were due with their first little one December 4, so we wanted to hurry up and get out to see the lights before she popped! :)
